FAQ's
Do you price match?
Any Carlson or Geomax software or hardware can be price matched. Price match only applies against quoted (copy may be requested) and website prices from other authorized Carlson or Geomax reseller in the United States.
Do you provide training?
On site training, webinar based or even over the phone training can be provided as needed. Please inquire for pricing tailored to fit your specific needs. A large library of guides and tutorials can be passed along by request after the purchase of advanced equipment.
Do you repair & calibrate instruments?
Absolutely. Any instrument sold from W.S.S inc. can be repaired by or thru W.S.S. Inc. In house repairs of most optical and gps receivers. Depending on depth of repair some are designated to go back to manufacturer for direct repair/replacement or if warranty requires it. Calibrations are performed in house.
Please note: W.S.S's first location was a commercial building, currently being converted to apartments. Constant attenuating for vibration of collimators was needed. Calibrations are now performed in a stable rural area with minimal vibration. This is a significant time savings. The repair and calibration shop will not follow back to any commercial area as a new showroom is arranged.
In MA? Pickup and Drop off box code can be provided upon request so you can drop off your gear as convenient. You can also call for pickup and drop off (charges apply).
Do you have rentals?
Yes. Plenty. If you purchase an instrument and are waiting on it to arrive, you can request a free loaner of instrument purchased while you wait if there are any delays on your order. If you have a repair that is under warranty purchased thru w.s.s. then your rental also becomes a free loaner while your unit is repaired. If you have a repair not under warranty and purchased thru W.S.S. a 25% discount will be applied to any similar rental while your instrument is repaired in house.

Current rental units include: Carlson CRx RTS's, Geomax T.Stations, Brx7 & RTK5 GPS Network Rovers in addtion to Stonex theodolites and numerous smaller instruments. All tablet rentals that use D.C. software run Carlson SurvPC. All tablets are cloud connected to W,S,S, for instant support.

How do I track my order?
Tracking for all orders will be sent to the customer after the item has shipped and tracking has been posted. If you do not receive your tracking information, please inquire at our main number.
Shipping on an order over 50lbs is $5000?
This is set for some products so that you will call for an accurate estimate of shipping costs. This way you get accurate totals & a correct invoice. The invoice will be emailed to you for final payment instead of using the cart system on this website which has limited shipping estimation abilities.
Do you sell basic supplies like stakes, flagging and other special-order items from your brands?
Currently we only sell basic supplies & special-order items for customers within New England. If you need regular basic supplies and are within N.E. Please call to get pricing, shipping lead times and place your order.
Do you provide International delivery?
At this time we do not offer international shipping. We only sell to the contiguous United States which allows for simple & free shipping. If the customer arranges and pays for the shipping we would, of course, be happy to sell & drop off the items at a local UPS, USPS or Fed Ex facility.
How do I return an item?
Please call to request an return materials authorization (RMA).
Once you have this number, simply send the item back with the RMA number written clearly on the box to the return address on the original package.
What is your return policy?
30 Day Money back guarantee. A 10-20% restocking fee may apply to some items. See individual product pages for their exact restocking fee. Usually these are set by the manufacturer & therefore required. All refunds are issued within 48 hours of a complete return.
